Uplands Enterprise Trust is throwing a showcase event after a successful bid to offer a new provision for young people with special needs and/or disabilities in the town by Swindon Borough Council.
The trust will be able to provide Short Breaks, a respite service for families where children will have fun experiences after school, on weekends or during the holidays.
They will be able to try new things in a safe and positive environment, providing greater independence and the chance to enhance their life skills.
The charity already does plenty of work to help children and young people and their families, but can now do more.
A trust spokesperson said: “To highlight the work of Uplands Enterprise Trust and the benefits it has within the community we are holding a showcase event on Thursday, October 14 from 11am-12.30pm at the home of Short Breaks, Upper Shaw Farm, Shaw Ridge, Swindon.
“The event will include a welcome presentation, a tour of the facility and the young people from Uplands Enterprise Trust will be serving light refreshments.”
Anybody interested in attending should contact Caroline Dent on cdent@brunelsenmat.org.uk or 07796 711249.
