Boris Johnson is set to hold a press conference at 4:30pm on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister will address the nation from Glasgow this afternoon according to The Sun, after heading north to tackle the world’s climate crisis with other world leaders.
Mr Johnson urged his colleagues from around the world to “pull out all the stops” as leaders come together to tackle the climate crisis at COP26.
He was speaking ahead of returning to the Glasgow summit on Wednesday, where negotiators are set to scrutinise a first draft of a “cover decision” – a negotiated outcome to the talks that aims to boost climate action.
COP26 a distraction from Tory party sleaze accusations
The Prime Minister has been accused of avoiding Tory part sleaze accusations by travelling back to Scotland.
Shadow business secretary Ed Miliband said: "It's hard to avoid the suspicion that the Prime Minister sees a day trip to the Cop as a useful way of distracting from the sleaze surrounding the Tory Party rather than a chance to get a grip and engage in the substance like a statesman.
"It's high time Boris Johnson recognised that he is not a commentator but needs to take charge of a summit that is not on track to deliver.
"We are miles off where we need to be in the halving of emissions required by 2030.
"It's time the Government faced this truth, stopped the greenwash, and put maximum pressure on all parties to step up and agree a path out of Glasgow to keep 1.5 alive."
