THIS is how the Civic Offices' first floor would be transformed to house the town's museum and art gallery.
The space is not currently fit to display the exhibits so work will need to be carried out to refurbish this section.
This work would happen during three phases. The first, carried out between now and April 2022, would see the first set of rooms prepared for public opening and allocate office space for staff - no consent is needed for this part.
The second phase would take until June and see the local authority apply for work to be done on the listed building such as improving the lift so that those with limited mobility can visit the collections.
Finally, between September 2022 and March 2023, the rest of the public display space on the first floor would be created.
This timeframe for the second and third phases may change if there is a hold-up with the work application or hiring specialist contractors and buying suitable display cases.
The exhibits would later move to the new Cultural Quarter at some point in the long-term.
