9 Wanted this Winter suspects still on the run - help police find them

Another suspect has been located and has spoken to police which means there are 11 individuals still on the run; nine of these have links to Swindon.

Wanted this Winter is a police campaign which runs through December and uses social media to engage public support in tracing individuals wanted in connection with various offences.

Charlotte Branford, Terri-Lee Pearce, Natasha Self, Jack Penny and William Goffett have now all been arrested as a result of information provided by the public.

Wiltshire Police’s Inspector Joe Senior expressed the force’s gratitude to people who have reported sightings and information, and urged people to continue their great work.

He said: “We’re obviously really grateful for the calls we’ve had.

“Every one of the arrests that we do as a result of a call from a member of the public is a huge amount of policing time that isn’t being wasted knocking on doors and chasing round Swindon.

“Some of the people on this list are well-versed in avoiding the police and we spend a lot of time looking for them.

“So the public are our best source of intelligence. These people are still around going to shops and living their lives, and speaking to friends and family.

“We need that magic phone call that says where they might be and we will react because we really need to talk to them.

“We’ve only got a finite number of officers and if they go chasing these individuals who are deliberately evading us then they’re not out responding to 999 calls, enforcing the neighbourhood priorities.

“None of these crimes are going away. All these people will be spoken to.”

Below is a list of the remaining suspects. Anyone who sees the individuals listed should these not approach them but call the police immediately on 999 and provide them with a description of what the suspect is wearing, anything they are carrying, and their direction of travel.

Craig Harfield, 32, is wanted for criminal damage and breach of a court order. He is about 5ft 9in tall, and has dark brown hair, brown eyes and a slim build. Log number: 54210110857.

Mark Thirkettle, 48, is wanted in connection with four thefts dating from September to November this year. He is described as a white male, around 6ft tall, a medium build with dark brown hair and brown eyes. Log number: 54210111888

Nigel Gamble, 49, failed to answer bail and is wanted for further questioning for a number of allegations. He is approximately 5ft 10in, and has black hair, blue eyes and a slim build. He has links to Northern Ireland.Log number: 54210114333

Paul Day, 42, has been wanted since March for an assault on two paramedics. He is described as 5ft 6in tall, with a slim build, brown eyes and black hair. Log number: 54210025110.

James Keelan, 42, has been outstanding for more than two years on a warrant for various offences. He is around 6ft tall, with a slim build, brown hair, brown eyes. He has links to Ireland and may not be in Swindon but information about his whereabouts is still encouraged. Log number: 54190025578

Thomas Compton, 29, is wanted for assault and criminal damage dating back to August and actively evading police. He is 5ft 11in tall, and has brown hair, brown eyes, and a slim build. Log number: 54210079149

Kane Townsend, 23, is wanted for fraud offences. He is about 5ft 10in, and has light brown hair, a heavy build, and brown eyes. Log number: 54210048212

John Rayworth, 36, is wanted for assault. He is described as around 6ft 2in with dark brown hair, hazel eyes and a medium build. Log number: 54210077524

Trevor Davies, 45, is wanted in relation to an assault. He is about 5ft 10in and has black hair, brown eyes and a medium build.
