BURGLARS have struck again at the former Swindon Hindu Temple.
Police received reports of the break-in on Darby Close at 9am.
The criminals stole copper wiring and other items, and caused some damage during the looting.
The place of worship has been targeted at least six times in the last few months. The council is working on finding a more secure facility for the borough's Hindu community.
Superintendent Phil Staynings said: “This is a very concerning incident and we are actively investigating.
"We are working closely with the Swindon Hindu community to keep them informed as this develops.
“This is completely unacceptable and I would urge anyone with information about who might be responsible for this crime to call us as a matter of urgency on 101, quoting log 53 of January 26."
