A SNIFFER dog's good work led to the arrest of a young woman and a teenage boy on suspicion of dealing drugs.

The pair were travelling in a Fiat 500 pulled over by police after leaving Junction 18 of the M4 at 11.40pm on Thursday night.

The car was then stopped and Avon and Somerset police dog Chase and his handler Emma then carried out a "succesful search of several large muddy fields" nearby where "a large amount" of drugs were found.

A female in her 20s was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

A teenage boy was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled class B drug.

Both were taken into custody at Gablecross Police Station.

Wiltshire Police Special Ops were working with the Trowbridge Community Policing Team.
