A section of the A419 dual carriageway will be completely closed to motorists over the next week.
Swindon Borough Council announced that due to ongoing roadworks at the White Hart roundabout, the A419 northbound from White Hart junction to Rat Trap junction will be closing overnight.
This will be taking place from tonight until February 25.
During these overnight closures, the contractor will finish installing noise barriers and will be completing the final surfacing of the new A419 northbound on-slip.
The work will be carried out between the hours of 9pm and 6am and a diversion route will be clearly signposted for motorists during this time. The road will re-open during the day-time for traffic to use.
A single lane closure will then be needed on the A419 northbound carriageway from White Hart junction to Rat Trap junction on 3 and 4 March between 8pm and 6am to clean drainage and complete surveys. Motorists will still be able to use the remaining lane to travel northbound while this work takes place.
