THE Swindon Soroptimists donated hundreds of books to Drove Primary School.
The group continued its annual tradition, started in 2015, by giving more than 240 books to the school for World Book Day last week.
Members Jackie Webb and Corrine Daycock delivered the literary goodies from fellow members, friends and relatives, then took part in the day's events with teachers James Bower and Abby Pitkinover Teams.
Children and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters and the theme was based on The Masked Singer, but where teachers dressed in masks to read stories and children tried to identify them.
Jackie said: “It is always a pleasure to be in the company of such well behaved and enthusiastic children who love reading.
"The teachers and children were delighted with the books and several said how grateful they are for all the years' donations as reading is vital for children to progress and thanked us for our continued support. They are looking forward to seeing us next year."
A BBC Wiltshire interview resulted in the donation of more books ready for next year.
