Drivers have been rushing to one of the cheapest petrol stations in Swindon, forcing it to close off most of its pumps.

Petrol prices are continuing to soar across Swindon, with six forecourts charging in the 160p per litre range.

As of 5.30pm on Wednesday, Sainsbury's on Oxford Road had no diesel and only two pumps out of 16 were open for petrol.

Sainsbury's is the third cheapest petrol station in Swindon, according to petrolprices.com

The other pumps were cordoned off with cones.

Swindon Advertiser:

Six stations have seen their petrol prices rise above the 150p per litre mark.
