THE adidas shop opening in Swindon's McArthur Glen Designer Outlet on Thursday will be the first of seven new additions to the popular retail destination this year.
The sportswear giant's latest store boasts a graphic woodmark inspired by the town’s railway heritage. Several football and hockey symbols representative of Swindon’s past have been integrated in the store’s graphic design - including a colour palette based in shades of red, with black, white and gold accents throughout in honour of Swindon Town.
This is the first of seven factory outlet stores to be opened in the Rodbourne shopping centre throughout 2022.
Shoppers can bag 20 per cent discount on purchases over £100 as well as two ‘gift with purchase’ offers - a sustainably sourced printed tote bag and Swindon adidas water bottle - which will be available from March 24 to 27.
The new addition to the centre marks an increased focus on sport, fitness and wellbeing within the Swindon Designer Outlet.
Centre manager Tina Cumpstey said: “adidas is a global leader in the sporting goods industry, which is why we are so excited to welcome them into the centre.
"We believe the new store is going to be a great addition to our centre moving forward, not only due to their great expertise in fitness and sports, but also due to their sustainability mission to help end plastic waste, which aligns with our brand's environmental goals.”

UPDATE: An earlier version of this article listed the opening as being on April 1 because it was expected that construction works would postpone the date by a week, but now the store will open on March 24 as originally planned.
