ROADWORKS at the Gablecross roundabout and the A420 are "almost finished", the council has assured motorists.
Several road and lane closures throughout April have led to delays on the edge of town as preparations for 8,000 new homes in the borough countinue.
In an update provided via the New Eastern Villages Newsletter, the council said: "The contractor has almost finished the scheme, with the last resurfacing works now completed.

"Dyer and Butler has also continued work on the central roundabout and reservation and SSE will also be on site to finish its utility connections."
The council added that the scheme is scheduled to be finished next month.
