The Circle in Pinehurst is set to become the stage for "the biggest party for three years" thanks to Jubilee grants from Arts Council England and ASDA Foundation.
The two grants mean that Central Swindon North Parish Council, working in partnership with SAPAC, South Asian Performing Arts Centre and Swindon Dance are holding a free Jubilee event at the Pinetrees Community Centre.
Michaela Johnston, community centre manager and Jubilee event planner, said: “This is going to be the biggest free party we have had at The Circle for almost three years due to the pandemic, and we hope to get people of all ages of out the house for this huge community event."
There will be various entertainment, children’s activities, competitions, stilt walkers, face painting, Bollywood and Kathak dance shows and workshops.
A hip hop and circus group from London, Simple Cypher, will also be performing during the day.
Michaela added: "We have meters of bunting, tree decorations, and flags, and we aim to make Pinetrees and this side of The Circle a sea of red, white, and blue."
The free event is on Friday, June 3 from 12pm to 6pm at Pinetrees Community Centre, The Circle, Swindon, SN2 1QR. There will be no parking at Pinetrees, except for a limited number of disabled spaces.
