FOUR Swindon restaurants have impressed food hygiene inspectors.

The borogh council's food hygiene team have had a look around and published new results on the Food Standards Agency website.

Aroma Grill on Commercial Road received four out of five for having good hygienic food handling and cleanliness, but generally satisfactory food safety management.

The Manor pub on Cheney Manor Road received the full five out of five after inspectors visited on May 30.

All three categories - hygienic food handling, cleanliness of facilities and building, and management of food safety - were considered to be Good.

The town centre's new Korean restaurant The Bap on Havelock Square received top marks after hygiene experts visited on May 31.

Hygienic food handling and management of food safety were both Good, but the cleanliness of the site was particuarly impressive and marked as Very Good.

And Cafenest on Morley Street received the highest possible score following an assessment on June 7.

Hygienic food handling was Very Good while the cleanliness of the facilities and the staff's management of food safety were Good.

These latest results mean that of Swindon's 263 restaurants 209 have ratings of five and two have zero ratings.
