Twenty five years after the former Great Western Railway works was transformed into a shopping mall it changed hands in a deal worth £600m.
The works shut down in March 1986, but it wasn't until 11 years later that the Designer Outlet finally opened for custom. A second phase of the development opened in 1999.
In 2015 then owners McArthur Glen opened the Long Shop building in a £40m extension project. The complex was bought earlier this year by LaSalle Investment Management.
Over the years steam locos built at the works were displayed in the food court area - Hinton Manor moved out in 2018 to be replaced by Ditcheat Manor.
