The A419 in Swindon has been closed in both directions tonight after a serious motorbike crash.
Police and the air ambulance were called to the scene on the southbound carriageway at Blunsdon just after 8pm.
Both carriageways are closed between Blunsdon and Castle Eaton and National Highways tweeted that the major route is unlikely to reopen until Thursday morning.
The tweet read: "All emergency services including the air ambulance are working at the scene.
"The road is closed south between the B4040 and the B4019 and north between the A4311 and the B4040.
"Wiltshire Police advised that the road will remain closed throughout the night."
