A partial closure order has been granted for an address in Box near Corsham following reports of ongoing drug activity.
Magistrates in Swindon granted the order for the address in Vine Court on Friday morning (08/07) following an application by the Corsham Neighbourhood Team.
The closure order means nobody can attend the address unless specifically named on the order for the next three months. Officers will continue to conduct regular visits to ensure the order is being adhered to.
Officers at Wiltshire Police have been working closely with residents in the area in relation to the application following ongoing reports that drug dealing was taking place at the address.
A drug warrant has previously been executed at the address in June, and two people were arrested on suspicion of being concerned about the supply of class A drugs.
Both have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Det Con Kev Golledge of the Neighbourhood Team said: "Working with Greensquare Accord and the local Councillor, the team have now obtained a partial closure order on the address, which allows only the tenant to be at the address in order to prevent further such offending and anti-social behaviour impacting on the local community.
"Closure orders are often used effectively across the county to prevent addresses being used as a base for dealing drugs.
"The Corsham Neighbourhood team are continuing to work closely with Greensquare Accord regarding the tenancy of this address."
