FIREFIGHTERS are warning lovers in Swindon to beware of candlelit dinners tomorrow night.
Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service says couples planning a cosy night in should follow a series of safety tips such as making sure tealights are in proper candle holders and not using nightlights in aromatherapy burners.
Mel Jezzard, community safety advisor at Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "We want people to have a great time on February 14, but we also want them to take care.
"Taking a few moments to check the smoke alarm is working, and making sure that you don't drink too much before cooking a meal could mean the difference between a happy night and disaster."
