I only have one Valentine and love
her through and through,
Like the sunlight on a summer day
and early morning dew,
Like the moon on a summer night
shining from a velvet sky,
Embracing us with the warmest cloak,
My Valentine and I.
With her I am safe and warm,
as along life's path we tread,
She helps me through the problems
that seem to lay ahead,
In sickness and in health she swore
that's what she would do,
And cloak me with her love,
for my whole life through.
The years flow by so swiftly
now that we're growing old,
But like sunlight on a summer's day,
and the early morning dew,
And the moon in a velvet sky,
day and night she's always there
to hold my hand, so firmly to
take away my care.
Without you dear Valentine,
my life would be but through,
What can I say after so many
years of love given by you,
Do I say that I love you too,
and will, my life right through?
Do I say you are my whole life
Dear Dearest Valentine, of course I do.
So let's go on dear Valentine, to
love each other every day through,
Whilst there's sunlight on a summer's day,
and early morning dew and the
Moon shining from a velvet sky for all
the world to see, embracing us in a
cloak of love my Valentine and me.
