MORE disgruntled Swindon Town fans have criticised the club after a rogue batch of kits were ruined after just one wash.
About 400 home red strips, priced at £40 each, have been reported as having faded, with the club's sponsors' logo peeling off.
Diane Tomes from Coombe Road in Moredon said that her 22-year-old son Nathan had bought all three of Town's replica shirts. "The red one's lettering has all came off," she said. "I washed the white one once inside out and the logo has come off.
"I did comment to the Town's shop about it and they said they had a few problems but it had been dealt with. They didn't offer me my money back. I'm very disgusted with this year's shirts and I feel they should replace them."
Kim Hayes bought a shirt from the club shop for her son Adam. "We bought the shirt just after it came out and within a month all the writing had disappeared," she said.
"We returned the shirt and they gave us another one.
"Then the same thing has happened to this one and we haven't bothered to take it back again - what's the point?
"My son's Stratton Juniors one is fine after a year of washing - perhaps Stratton juniors can give Swindon Town the name of their suppliers."
Swindon Town spokesman Chris Tanner said: "We are dealing with it as best we can.
"This involves about 400 red home kits in total.
"Supporters experiencing problems with a replica shirt may return their shirt to the STFC Superstore where a credit note will be issued to the full value of the shirt.
"Also, these credit notes are not just restricted to Lotto products."
These vouchers will be valid until September 30, 2008.
Lotto, the shirt manufacturers, is confident the problem has now been resolved.
A new consignment of shirts is being delivered and the shirts in stock will be replaced.
