SLIME and blood were among the topics taught in a science-themed day at Nythe Primary School.
London Science Museum's outreach team visited the school and pupils from Years 3, 4 and 5 were treated to two shows in the morning and took part in workshops in the afternoon.
The Enormous Turnip show taught children about magnets and forces, while the Glorious Blood show explained to them about the heart and how the body works.
In the afternoon Slime Time workshops gave them the chance to learn about a variety of liquids.
Colleen Smith, the school's parent co-ordinator, said: "It's all about teaching science in a more exciting ways and engaging the students.
"We had the museum's outreach team visit us last year.
"They go to primary and secondary schools around the country offering a variety of shows, workshops and storytelling events.
"The children had so much fun the last time that we wanted them back and when we found out they were going to be in the area we asked them to come and visit."
The science museum's outreach team is currently offering a discount on its activity days to Swindon schools.
