A PLASTIC shelving factory has been targeted by arsonists for the second time in less than 12 months.
More than £50,000 of damage was caused to the warehouse on the Hillmead Industrial Estate in the blaze on Sunday.
Last May Hillmead Joinery lost £20,000 worth of plastic shelves in an arson attack.
Police dealing with the latest attack have started an arson investigation.
PC Lawrence Copeland said a four-figure reward had been put up by the firm for information leading to a conviction.
He said the fire damaged the metal external wall of the building and set alight a large extractor unit and nearby skips.
"Both Swindon police and Swindon Fire and Rescue attended the scene and it took 20 fire officers to put out the fire," he said.
"This is very serious arson and we are determined to catch the people who started the fire."
The firm's HR manager, Zoe Bowers, said the damage had all been caused to the structure of the building but the machinery inside was not damaged.
Workers at the site have been able to return to work but she said the repairs to the building would be costly.
The fire in May was also started at a weekend.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the West Swindon industrial estate on Sunday or who knows who is responsible for stating the fire should contact PC Copeland on 0845 408 7000.
