A teenage cyclist allegedly injured a man through “wanton or furious driving”.
Robert Michael Mobley is said to have injured a man whilst in charge of a bicycle.
Prosecutors allege the incident took place on November 19, 2021 in Swindon.
He has been charged with causing bodily harm by wanton or furious driving – an offence under the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
Represented by duty solicitor Charlotte Frizzell at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on July 12, he did not indicate a plea.
The charge is indictable only, meaning it can only be dealt with in the Crown Court.
Magistrates sent the case to Swindon Crown Court on August 12, where Mobley is expected to enter a plea.
If convicted, the teenager, of Somerville Road, Walcot, faces a sentence of no more than two years’ imprisonment under the 1861 Act.
