Two cars have been involved in a crash on a busy road by a roundabout.

The incident happened this afternoon on Malmesbury B4042 Priory Roundabout.

Witnesses have reported that airbags are out in both cars and that both cars are facing the wrong way.

Police are on the scene and are diverting traffic into the opposite lane.

The incident happened just a couple of minutes away from the WOMAD gates in Malmesbury, and is expected to cause delays in traffic.

It is not known if anyone was injured.

Police have been contacted for a comment.
