THIS is the dramatic moment a light aircraft overshot the runway while landing at Cotswold Airport yesterday.

The plane ended up in a ditch by the side of the A429 and the road was closed for hours while the emergency services removed fuel and debris from the scene.

No-one was seriously injured, luckily, but the pilot and one passenger were taken to hospital as a precaution.

ITV News has published a brief bit of footage showing the plane making a bumpy landing on the runway before continuing at speed and going out of control.
