FAIRLY traded fashion will take to a Swindon catwalk next month.
A Fairtrade Fashion Show will be held at St Joseph's School, Ocotal Way, Swindon, on Wednesday, March 5, between 7pm and 9pm.
The event is just one of a number planned in the town for Fairtrade Fortnight, which runs from this Monday to Sunday, March 9, under the theme Change Today - Choose Fairtrade.
Barbara Aftelak, chairwoman of the Swindon Fairtrade Coalition, the group co-organising the event, believes it will help everyone look and feel great.
She said: "With the range of Fairtrade products now extending into clothing, you can dress in trendy clothes and feel good about it too.
"And you know that what you are wearing is stylish, affordable and respectful to people and the planet."
The Fairtrade mark has grown massively since it was launched in 1994.
Initially it had just three products - today more than 3,000 Fairtrade certified products are available to British consumers.
