A TEENAGER has created a new business website - with high hopes of mimicking the Million Dollar Homepage's success.
Inspired by other internet start-ups Matt Page is hoping his latest e-venture will make him a mint.
His idea is a guide called www.swindon-directory.com.
The 16-year-old from Swindon Road, Stratton St Margaret, says that all the directory needs now is more entries.
"I have been interested in computers for as long as I can remember," he said.
"But I only started working on them properly about three years ago.
"I was amazed to find out that Swindon had no directory and that is how the idea was born.
"So far I have a couple of hundred of businesses listed."
The information technology student, who moved to Swindon a year ago with his family, believes to be successful his site will need at least two companies per business heading.
He hopes to follow in the path of Alex Tew, originally from Cricklade, who founded the Million Dollar Homepage in 2005 because he needed money to study for a degree.
The Million Dollar Homepage offered pixels of advertising for $1 each and promised buyers a slice of internet history.
Within five months, Alex had exceeded his million dollar aim and his story spread around the world.
Matt says that although he wants to make money like Alex one day, the project is also about the experience and having fun.
