TWO sisters have had a run of coincidences they say must be fate.

Since the siblings met their partners on the same night two years ago their lives have become eerily entwined.

For Kelly Matthews and Danika Grossi have since fallen pregnant in the same week, with each sister giving birth to a boy within an hour of the other.

And Kelly, of The Circle, Pinehurst, says the similarities don't stop there as 16-year-old Danika was given her old flat by a housing association after giving birth.

"This has been the weirdest year of my life," said Kelly. "It all started when my sister brought two of her friends over to my flat, the boys were friends, and both insurance brokers.

"I found out she was dating her boyfriend the day after me and my boyfriend started going out.

"About two years later I found out I was pregnant.

"And less than a week after Danika phoned me and told me she was pregnant too - all I could say was Oh my god', over and over.

"I was totally shocked and I am constantly wondering if we both fell pregnant on the same night.

"The pregnancy was a lot of fun - we were always taking pictures of our bellies at different sizes."

Kelly had a caesarean section on February 18 at the Great Western Hospital - her sister had been admitted two days earlier.

"When I turned up, lo and behold, I found her in the very next room, in delivery," said Kelly.

"My mum was really like a mad woman, and was darting around from room to room.

"She hadn't eaten anything and was really drained.

"The next time Danika and I met I had my baby and she was about to have hers."

Danika says that although she doesn't remember much, she does recall pushing a lot more when she saw Kelly's new baby boy.

She said: "When I saw him, I thought: Right, I want my baby now'.

"I started to push and seeing Alfie really encouraged me - 57 minutes later I had my little boy.

"Two days after I gave birth I went to the housing association and was stunned again as they gave me the keys to my sister's old flat.

"This whole thing has been really freaky and weird."

Danika named her boy Harley, while Kelly chose Alfie for her son. The sisters have already started planning the cousins' 18th birthday party.
