A SWINDON shop which has been part of the town's Designer Outlet for 25 years will be closing.

The Belt Shop, also known as Greens The Beltmaker or Worldbelts Ltd, will soon stop trading in the popular retail destination to make room for another business.

It has been producing genuine leather belts, long-lasting leather straps and solid belt buckles inside the MacArthur Glen site for many years but must now move out.

The homegrown company will still be selling its handmade wares online but will not have a physical storefront after its last day in the Outlet on Sunday September 11.

BubbleTea will be taking over the space the belt maker has been occupying for more than two decades.

Sheena Green shared the sad news on Facebook: "Unfortunately we have been given notice to leave.

"Feel free to pop along to get your handmade belts before we close - but good news is, we will be online, although it’s not quite the same, but we do hope to continue selling handmade belts.

"Sorry we won’t be there in person but please do remember us online or even message us for any special requests."
