EAST Kennet trainer Peter Jones, who delighted his many followers in the area when his charge Stripe Me Blue won at Kempton, found himself in the winners' enclosure again this week when George's Boy (11-2) won the Windsor Partners Amateur Riders Handicap Chase at Plumpton.
The 10-year-old was expected to run a good race last Saturday at Chepstow, but according to his trainer he missed the break and was unable to dominate, which meant it became a lost cause and he was pulled up.
Jones added: "The 10-year-old came out of the Chepstow race well and when I trotted him up on Sunday we decided to let him run again and the move paid off."
