Police helicopter and incident response units rush to town centre
Multiple incident response unit ambulances and police cars rushed to the town centre this evening.
Armed police were spotted on Commercial Road and Regent Circus along with four incident response unit vehicles from the ambulance service around 8.30pm this evening.
A police helicopter was circling above parts of Swindon including Old Town and Walcot before heading to Commercial Road.
Two police cars and the four ambulance vehicles parked alongside Commercial Road and Regent Circus before leaving just after 8.40pm.
Wiltshire Police and South Western Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
