AN Old Town club is so pleased with the success of its charity raffle that is planning to make it an annual event.
The High Street Club raised £1,220 for the Prospect Foundation in September, and hopes to repeat the feat on a yearly basis.
Mick Donnelly is the sports and social secretary for the club, and one of the event's organisers.
He said: "I'm proud of the response we got from the members and the generosity of restaurants who gave free meals.
"We appreciate the effort everyone has put in and are happy to have raised money for such a good cause."
The raffle auctioned meals for two from local restaurants - Manuel's, Mario's, Los Gatos, Fratello's, Poms, Gaetano's, Connies, Mela, Ruchi, Curry Garden, Spicy Bits, Biplop, Picklejohns, The King's Arms and Domino's.
A 10-mile motorbike ride with Julian Baker was also auctioned, but no one has yet been brave enough to take up the prize.
