A police dog unit and a helicopter were deployed to locate a man who fled the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on the M4 near Swindon last night.
A 28-year-old man was arrested following the crash involving three cars near junction 15 on the eastbound carriageway just before midnight yesterday.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of drinking driving, careless driving and failure to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision.
He was chased down by Police Dog Bree and found in a nearby field. The National Police Air Service helicopter flew from overhead.
