A SERVICE of thanksgiving for the life of Queen Elizabeth II will be held at a Swindon church later this week.
Rev Simon Stevenette has arranged the service at Christ Church which begins at 7pm on Friday September 16.
The Partnership Choir will lead the worship and the church’s community centre will host a reception afterwards.
Rev Stevenette is calling for volunteers from the Old Town partnership to get involved.
Bishop Lee will preach on the theme of where we go from here and building on the Queen’s legacy.
South Swindon MP Sir Robert Buckland will take part, reflecting on the historic significance of the last few days.
