A WARMINSTER resident celebrated their 104th birthday earlier this month.
Muriel Whitworth reached the milestone on September 3, and celebrated her birthday with fellow Wren House residents and friends.
Manchester born Muriel, a dedicated Manchester City fan, was surrounded with much deserved presents and decorations at her residence in the Warminster care home.
"Follow your dreams"- the sound advice she gives as an experienced traveller, having travelled the world with her husband, Eric.
Muriel moved to Scotland with Eric for a fresh start after the Second World War, where he worked for Scottish Airlines. This allowed the couple to travel to amazing places with the Seychelles being Muriel's favourite.
A fond memory from her travels is when Clark Gable sat himself next to Murial and her husband, wishing them a very happy life together as he got off the train.
Murial said: "I'm delighted that after all these years, I still get to have a birthday party!"
"It was great to see so many residents celebrating my birthday with me and I hope that everyone at Wren House enjoyed it as much as I have."
Tracey Atkins, the manager of Wren House Retirement said: "Muriel is loved by everyone here at Wren House, she is a great character and makes us all laugh."
