THE Swindon Charity Ball is coming back next year to put more fun into fundraising.
The Swindon Rotary Club has held a Charity Ball every year for the last 33 years - barring the two years of Covid-related safety measures and lockdowns.
During this time, the annual event has now raised more than £1 million, all of which has gone toward assisting local charities.
A spokesman said: "We are supported by local businesses and individuals in and around Swindon who are extremely generous and kind hearted and without their help with prizes and sponsorship none of this would be possible."
This year's event saw a glitzy gala at the Swindon Marriott in May themed around 'Puttin' on the Ritz' which raised thousands of pounds which was split between Swindon 105.5, the Swindon Advocacy Movement, Wiltshire Search and Rescue, and the Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service.
Guests enjoyed a three course meal while watching the Flaming Feathers and a live band. A raffle, envelope draw, silent auction and live auction sold off an impressive array of prizes.
