Swindon's hospital has revealed what decisions it has made about appointments scheduled for the day of the Queen's funeral.
Thousands of hospital appointments nationally have been postponed due to the upcoming bank holiday on Monday September 19.
Hospital trusts can make their own decisions about cancellations based on staffing levels and whether transport problems will mean patients and staff are not able to attend.
Great Western Hospital says it will be sticking with "much" of its "usual activity".
The hospital will go ahead with routine, non-urgent clinics, outpatient appointments and scans.
A spokeswoman said: "We understand the sensitivities around the recent sad news of Her Majesty The Queen’s death and funeral, so we will be calling patients directly to confirm whether or not they are able to attend their appointment.”
Patients will be contacted about their appointments which is in line with instructions from NHS England.
A letter to from NHS England to organisations states: "For patients with planned appointments that may be affected by the day of the funeral, please ensure they are informed in advance of any changes by utilising direct patient communications.
"Where planned appointments are going ahead it will also be important to confirm this is the case."
