72 homes in Swindon and Wiltshire have commanded an impressive sales fee of over £1million in the last 12 months, new figures have revealed.
The latest research by Property Solvers has revealed that these millionaire homes with SN postcodes sold from September 2021 up to this month.
Using HM Land Registry sold house price statistics, the home buying company and local auctioneer reported the total value of these sales arrived at £106,698,274.
However, despite large amounts of money being spent, this does represent a decrease of 34 per cent from the same period in 2020-21, which had a total of £150.17million.
In terms of the number of properties sold, this puts Swindon in position number 44 across England, Wales and Scotland - above Leeds and below Canterbury.
Eastcourt Farm in Malmesbury was the most expensive property on the list, fetching a free of £4,110,000. The next most expensive, a little way back, were Home Farm in West Littleton, Chippenham and Eastcourt in Burbage, Marlborough at £2,850,000 and £2,650,00 respectively.
The most expensive Swindon property was Upper Mill, Kingston Winslow, which sold for £2,100,000.
Speaking on the data, co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam: “although there remains a fairly healthy volume of sales in this price bracket, such a pronounced drop would suggest that buyer appetite for these types of homes is decreasing.”
