A DRIVER from Swindon ended up in court after a poor parking decision.
Davesh Goel, of Landford Crescent, was found guilty through single justice procedure of stopping his van on a pelican crossing.
The 49-year-old parked the Vauxhall Vivaro within the limits of the crossing on the A4222 High Street in Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan on May 26 2022.
It is against the law to park all of part of a vehicle on or near a pelican crossing.
Goel received a £123 fine and must also pay £90 in court costs plus £34 to victim services. Altogether, Cardiff Magistrates Court ordered him to pay £247 for this offence.
