SOUTH MARSTON: Plans have been submitted for a S73 Variation to the outline application for employment development on Symmetry Park, near the A420.

This development includes B1b (research and development/light industrial), B1c (light industrial), B2 (general industrial) and B8 (warehouse and distribution), along with new landscaping and a junction connecting to the A420 (means of access not reserved).

This proposed variation would specifically be for condition 19 (Archaeology - Management Plan) of the already-approved outline application (reference S/OUT/14/0253) to allow for the archaeological investigation of the known remains within the site.

This would be carried out in order to determine the remains' significance and, if appropriate, the preservation by record of those remains, i.e by means of archaeological excavation and recording.

The suggested amendment (reference S/22/1251) has been submitted because the site is in a conservation area.

The application may be viewed on-line at https://pa1.swindon.gov.uk/publicaccess where comments about the application may also be made.

Alternatively, comments can be made in writing, quoting reference S/22/1251/PEEG, to the following address before the notice expiry date of October 10 2022: Peter Eggleton, Planning Department, Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton
