Motorists have been urged to avoid several West Swindon roads following a burst water main.
All of the roads affected are around Mannington roundabout in West Swindon, with Tewkesbury Way, Mannington Drive, Bodiam Drive and Blagrove towards Mannington all shut by police.
A post on Facebook from Wiltshire Police says the roads have been closed because of the amount of surface water currently on them,
A spokesperson has said: "Please avoid this entire area if possible and seek alternative routes."
Several households in the SN5 postcode area are now experiencing low or no water pressure, and Thames Water says it is aware of the issue.
In a statement on its website, the water provider said: "Our specialist engineers are already on their way to investigate the problem, and they will be doing everything they can to get things up and running as quickly as possible.
"We’re really sorry if this has disrupted your day.
"We’ll update this page when we have more news."
The leak has been reported several times via Thames Water's 'report a problem' facility.
For locals, this is quickly becoming a reoccurring problem.
At the end of August, the road was closed while Thames Water dug it up to repair n issue that had caused a leak at that time.
This work took over one week to complete, with the road being inaccessible throughout that time, and was supposed to fix the problem, but evidently, another burst main has occurred.
One local described not having any water and said that water leaks as being a regular issue in the area.
They said: "I have no water at my house in Toothill and neither do my neighbours.
"I heard people in the local Tesco saying they didn't have any water either, so they were buying bottled water.
"The main under Tewkesbury Way seems to keep bursting, the last time was 3 weeks ago and the road was closed for more than a week. The last burst before that was just down the road during lockdown.
"There was also one a few weeks ago opposite Ashington House surgery."
A hosepipe ban is currently in effect following an incredibly dry summer, forbidding people from using large amounts of water to fill a paddling pool or swimming pool filling a fountain, watering gardens and plants, cleaning cars or other vehicles, cleaning walls or windows, paths, patios or other outdoor surfaces, filling a pond, or cleaning a boat.
