An exit ramp on the A419 closed this morning after a car was caught on fire.
At around 7am on Monday morning, a car was seen on fire by the exit ramp to Blunsdon St Andrew on the A419 Southbound at A4311 Cricklade Road.
Traffic is said to be coping well.
A reporter who passed the scene said: "It was all a bit strange. The road was very quiet then suddenly it was at a standstill just near the garages north of Blunsdon, then it cleared almost as quickly, but one lane was closed going up the hill.
"There were loads of police cars and at least one fire engine, and I saw just one car - I thought initially it might have crashed into the divider at the ramp up to Blunsdon overpass.
"Then I saw the entirety of the front half of the cart had been burned out. It looked very dramatic. I hope everyone in the car was okay."
Wiltshire Police has been approached for a comment.
