Ellie Goulding's husband and art dealer Caspar Jopling has been fined £3,000 and lost his driver's licence after he was caught speeding at over 100mph on the motorway.

Jopling who works at Sotheby's was banned from driving for 65 days after he was found guilty of speeding on May 13 at Oxford Magistrates' Court.

The 30-year-old Eton and Oxford-educated art dealer from Gloucestershire was caught speeding at 103mph on the M40 between Wooburn Green Lane overbridge and Broad Lane overbridge on April 23 last year.

Jopling, from Eastleach, pleaded not guilty to speeding in his Tesla Model S Perform Ludicrous on November 11, 2021 and, after he was convicted, applied to have the disqualification removed.

This application was refused by the same court so Jopling's licence was disqualified for 65 days.

Along with the £3,000 fine, Jopling had to pay £190 to fund victim services and £650 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Jopling celebrated his third wedding anniversary with the Brit Award winner in August.

The 'Love Me Like You Do' and 'Burn' singer travelled from her Cotswolds home to Kyiv to meet President Zelensky in July.
