A POPULAR town centre pub which has become well-known for its live music is seeking a new manager.
A sign outside The Rolleston Arms on Commercial Road advertises the need for a new publican to take over the hotel, bar, and Level 3 nightclub.
The pub's current landlord Violet McLaren will reportedly be moving back to its sister pub and longstanding music venue The Victoria in Old Town once her tenancy ends on January 11.
Violet said: "We've had a great time here but are looking forward to being able to focus on our other pub."
Several gigs and events are planned for the rest of this month and October at the venue, with more sure to follow in the last three months of the current owners' management.
Stonegate Pub Partners is leading the search for a new landlord to agree to a retail partnership tenancy for The Rolly.
A listing on the group's website said: "The pub is renowned for its live music and has developed a strong trade over the years.
"It is a multi-functional venue which boasts a 400-capacity music venue to the rear, letting rooms, a bar with a dining offer in the main trading area and a separate one-bedroom house.
"Stonegate Pub Partners are now seeking a new publican who has the capability to continue the current offerings whilst looking to introduce a simple food offer in the main trading areas.
"A publican who can drive trade during the week and utilise the letting rooms will be important to the success of this business."
The regional manager added: "This is a unique opportunity to be involved with a multi-function venue. The majority of the current trade is driven by live music events, something the new publican will need to continue and develop utilising the pub's fantastic facilities.
"There is an opportunity to capitalise on attracting midweek trade through food and letting rooms. I look forward to working with a driven and enthusiastic publican who can put their stamp on this great business."
The webpage indicates that guide rent would be £27,000 per year and need an estimated capital start-up of £14,750.00 (plus VAT), while the potential annual turnover is around £459,000.
The listing highlights features including a "multi-functional business with a live music venue, fully fitted trade kitchen, nine letting rooms, and one-bedroom attached house for private accommodation.
