A NEW housing development in Wroughton has welcomed its first buyers.

Ridgeway Park off Marlborough Road has added around 103 homes to the village, including 72 properties for private sale and 31 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership.

Bellway is in charge of building and maintaining the new estate.

Sales manager Rachel Way said: “It is extremely rewarding to witness the birth of a new neighbourhood as we welcome our first residents to Ridgeway Park.

"Both our sales team and our construction staff have been buoyed by the enthusiasm that buyers have shown for homes we are building here.

“There has been a steady stream of sales since the first properties were released onto the market last November, demonstrating the high demand for new housing in Wroughton.

“The development is proving particularly popular with families, due to the wide choice of schools in the local area. Wroughton Infant School is just half a mile away, and there are several other schools within a 10-minute drive of the development.

“The one-and-a-half acres of public open space, including a children’s play area, we are providing at Ridgeway Park is another reason why so many families are choosing to move here.”
