A new soft play in West Swindon opens its doors this week after a successful pilot session.
Located in the Link Centre in West Swindon, the soft play will open on Wednesday (October 5) after four weeks of renovations and successful pilot sessions.
Barnaby Rich, Better’s partnership manager for Swindon, said: "We're very excited to be opening this new soft play area. Our goal was to give young children the first step on the pathway to the trampoline park.
"We wanted to help the transition to the trampoline park."
"We will also host disability and inclusive trampoline sessions."
One of the guests was MP Justin Tomlinson who was there with his wife and two children.
"My daughter absolutely loves soft play so it's a hit for her."
When asked what she thought of the soft play, 3-year-old Margot answered "good" before continuing her climb up the play tower to go down the slide.
Mr Rich continued to explain that they looked at what other soft play parks had done in order to decide what they wanted to incorporate in this one.
"One thing we wanted to do was to include a big sitting area for parents to be able to leave their things while playing."
They also focused a lot on the sensory area, which includes smaller slides, a ball pit as well as a screen on the ground showing sensory videos.
"It's been absolutely worth spending the extra money as the children love it."
The renovation was funded by Swindon Borough Council under Section 106 as well as by external investors.
Section 106 is a fund which is negotiated between developers and the council whenever a large development is carried out.
The soft play will be open from 9.15am to 5pm, 7 days per week, with sessions lasting 3hrs.
Prices start at £4.00 for an under 2yr old and one adult, and people are encouraged to book a slot in advance to secure entrance.
The inclusive trampoline sessions are open to people of all ages.
Bookings can be done online on Better.org's website or through their app.
