A SWINDON hotel hosted an event to celebrate a major shakeup.
Jurys Inn looms large over the junction of Fleming Way and Princes Street in the town centre. Soon, the four-star accommodation will be known as Leonardo Hotels.
A double-decker bus is making its way around the country to visit some of the 51 hotels in the chain.
The upper deck of the bus has been turned into a hotel room, kitted out with a DREAM bed as well as a desk, TV screen, and a small seating area. The downstairs level features a meeting room with a table and chairs, coffee machines, and plants.
A spokesman said: "Already well-established in the UK with 16 hotels under the Leonardo, Leonardo Royal, and NYX brands, all 35 Jurys Inn hotels in the UK and Ireland will transition to Leonardo Hotels by the end of 2022 as part of the brand’s ambitious investment programme and growth strategy.
"The rebrand will combine the key elements of the Jurys Inn operating platform with the existing Leonardo brand design and expanding reputation.
"Beyond the rebranding programme, Leonardo Hotels plans to continue growing its footprint in the UK and Ireland through new acquisitions and developments, alongside enhancements across its range of products and services."
