The following public notices were published in the Swindon Advertiser this week.
RODBOURNE: A traffic order (reference STR000405) is being introduced for road resurfacing works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Barnfield Close along the length from the roundabout to the dead end.
No alternative route is available. The works will be carried out between October 10 and 14 October 2022.
BADBURY: A traffic order (reference STR000414) will allow for Openreach to carry out works by prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Badbury Lane up to The Ridgeway.
Traffic to be diverted via Butts Road, A346 Marlborough Road, The Ridgeway and vice versa.
It is anticipated the road closure will be in place between October 31 and November 4 2022.
A second order for the area (reference STR000417) to allow for more Openreach work will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on the un-named road between Badbury Lane and A346 Marlborough Road, Chiseldon.
Traffic to be diverted via A346 Marlborough Road, The Ridgeway, B4192 Purley Road, Medbourne Lane, Medbourne Road and vice versa. The road closure will take place on October 10 and 19 only.
A third order (reference STR000415) is being introduced to allow for fibre cable works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Meadow Way between the junction with Badbury Lane and A419 Overbridge.
Access for residents to be maintained. Traffic to be diverted via Medbourne Road, B4192 Purley Road and A419 Marlborough Road. It is anticipated the road closure will take place on November 7 and 16 only .
Yet another order (reference STR000413) to allow for fibre cable work will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Badbury Lane and Berricot Lane.
Traffic to be diverted via Medbourne, B4192, The Ridgeway, A346 Marlborough Road and vice versa. This closure will be in place on October 19 and 28.
WEST SWINDON: A traffic order (reference STR000421) is being introduced for Swindon Borough Counil highway works and will prohibit pedestrians and cyclists from proceeding on the footbridge at Tewkesbury Way from Westlea Drive to the bottom of Tewkesbury Way Footbridge ramp (south side).
They will be diverted via Westlea Drive, Mannington Lane, Tewkesbury Way, Bodium Drive and Ely Close. The works are to be carried out between October 31 and November 8 2022.
WROUGHTON: Resurfacing work (reference STR000425) will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on the A4361 Croft Road and Swindon Road between Blackhorse Way and Devizes Road.
Traffic to be diverted via A4361 Devizes Road, A4361 High Street, B4005 Wharf Road, Mill Lane, Foxham Way, B4006 Blackhorse Way and vice versa.
The works will be carried out between October 6 and 8.
A footpath will be closed (reference STR000444) for public safety reasons while work is carried out on the footbridge. It will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding on the footpath from public footpath 41 Wroughton and Wharf Road.
Diversion: From the northern end of the closure, proceed generally northwestwards along Public Footpath 41 to the Wichelstowe Southern Access Road. Turn left and follow the Wichelstowe Southern Access Road generally southwestwards and pass under the M4. Turn left onto Public Footpath 12 and follow that generally southeastwards to Wharf Road. Turn left and follow Wharf Road eastwards to the southern end of the closure.
The order comes into force on October 1 2022 for six months.
OLD TOWN: A traffic order (reference STR000430) is being introduced for Thames Water to install new service and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Prospect Place outside Paxton House.
The 'no entry' restriction on Bath Road to be suspended for the duration of the road closure. Traffic to be diverted via Union Row, Victoria Road and Bath Road.
It is expected the works will be carried out between November 8 to 11 2022.

OLD TOWN: An application has been made to the Licensing
Authority for Swindon for the grant of a Premises Licence by Alan Colman in respect of
Swindon Masonic Association, The Planks, Swindon, SN3 1QP
The application seeks permission to sell alcohol on and off the premises from 10am to 3am Monday to Saturday and from noon to midnight on Sundays.
The full application may be inspected at the Offices of the Licensing Authority, Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler West Floor 5, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Responsible authorities, and/or other persons (e.g. people/businesses living or working within the vicinity), can make representations at any time before October 21 2022.

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application punishable on summary conviction of £5000.
