Several restaurants and eateries around Swindon have gotten new food hygiene ratings.
These ratings mean that out of Swindon's 259 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 213 (82%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
Compass Contract Services (UK) Ltd (c/o Ridgeway Hospital), a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Moormead Road, Wroughton, Swindon was given the maximum score after the assessment on September 13.
Baxter Storey Ltd (c/o RWE), a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Site I Trigonos, Windmill Hill Business Park, Blagrove, Swindon was also given the maximum score after the assessment on September 22.
Chicken Cottage Swindon, a takeaway at 116 Victoria Road, Old Town, Swindon was given a score of 4-out-of-5 after the assessment on September 6.
Town Gardens Bowling Club, a pub, bar or nightclub at Town Gardens, Quarry Road, Old Town, Swindon was also handed a four-out-of-five rating after the assessment on September 5.
Additionally, the following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:
- Rated 5: Costa Ltd at Unit B5a, North Swindon District Centre, Abbey Meads, Swindon; rated on September 1
- Rated 5: Costa Ltd (in Next) at Unit C3, North Swindon District Centre, Abbey Meads, Swindon; rated on August 31
- Rated 5: Fabio's Ristorante Italiano at 15 Bath Road, Old Town, Swindon; rated on August 29
- Rated 5: Second Cup International at 35 The Parade, Swindon; rated on August 29
And three ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
- Rated 5: The Check Inn at Check Inn, 79 Woodland View, Wroughton, Swindon; rated on August 31
- Rated 5: Longs Bar at 86-87 Victoria Road, Old Town, Swindon; rated on August 29
- Rated 5: The Plough On The Hill Ltd at Marlborough Road, Chiseldon, Swindon; rated on August 29
Plus two ratings for takeaways:
- Rated 5: Swindon Fish Bar at 106 Cheney Manor Road, Swindon; rated on September 13
- Rated 5: KFC at Welton Road, Westlea, Swindon; rated on August 29
