POLICE in Swindon have recruited a raft of crime-fighters short on stature but full of enthusiasm.
The Stratton, Central North and West Swindon policing teams have been busy over the last few weeks welcoming in the new 2022/23 mini police recruits.
A spokesman for the force said: "They have all been amazing and we look forward to the lessons planned over the year.
"Well done to Moredon School's year 6 for their final assembly, and welcome to the new year 5 recruits.
"St Mary’s School had a great session playing games with the residents from the Riddings care home and Alton Close students did Wiltshire Police proud when making their promise.
"Well done to all the new students."
The Mini Police scheme is a police engagement programme aimed at eight-to-11-year-olds. It offers primary school children the chance to build positive relationships with their local police team while helping out in their school and the wider Swindon community.
