A MAN is in custody after a number of vehicles were hit in Swindon last night.
Officers were called at approximately 10.30pm last night (October 16) to a report regarding concerns that a man had been drinking at a pub near the town centre, before driving his vehicle home.
It was reported that during this journey, the driver had struck a number of vehicles including a white Transit van on Cricklade Road in Gorse Hill.
Officers attended an address in the Greenmeadow area and found a Vauxhall Astra with visible extensive damage to the front.
A man in his 30s was located and arrested on suspicion of drink driving, careless driving and failing to stop at a road traffic collision.
He was taken to custody at Gablecross where he remains for questioning.
